River Cleanup on March 2nd: The Caltrans Stormwater Program and the Sacramento Kings, in partnership through the Clean California Campaign, hosted a river cleanup at Robert T. Matsui Park on March 2, 2023. With the help of volunteers from Sacramento Picks It Up!, American River Parkway Foundation and Kings’ volunteers, participants collected over 500 pounds of trash! Items collected included broken glass, cigarette butts, plastic bottles and cans.

Dia de los Muertos Festival on Sunday, October 30th: The Caltrans Stormwater Program and Lazer Broadcasting hosted an outreach booth at the Dia de los Muertos Festival on Sunday, October 30th, 2022. The event was attended by over 100,000 people. The Stormwater booth offered educational opportunities, interactive activities, and giveaway items (pet waste bag dispensers, tire pressure gauges, and brochures). Materials were offered in English and Spanish.

Nothin' But Sand Beach Cleanup on Saturday, October 15th: The Caltrans Stormwater Program and partner Heal the Bay hosted a beach cleanup in Los Angeles. Thanks to the help of over 365 volunteers, the cleanup collected 145 pounds of trash. At the event, Caltrans provided educational materials such as tire pressure gauges, pet waste bag dispensers, and litter bags.

Cinco de Mayo: The Caltrans Stormwater Program and partner Lazer Broadcasting hosted a booth at the Southside Park Cinco de Mayo event in Sacramento. The Stormwater tent offered educational materials, interactive activities and promotional items including recycled bags, pens, keychains, notebooks and water bottles. Approximately 4,000 people attended the event.

Fiestas Patrias: On September 16, 2022, the Caltrans Stormwater Program and partner Lazer Broadcasting hosted three outreach booths at multiple statewide Fiestas Patrias events. At each event (Sacramento, Inland Empire and Moreno Valley), the booth offered educational opportunities, interactive activities and promotional items. Materials were provided in English and Spanish to approximately 23,000 event attendees.
- Folsom VYBE on Saturday, May 21: The Caltrans Stormwater Program hosted a booth at the Folsom VYBE music festival on May 21 at The Field at Lakeside. The Stormwater tent distributed promotional items and program information to over 1,000 attendees
